ABOUT

Hi, I'm Jass! I'm a naturally curious and intuitive person who is passionate about unraveling the intricacies of the human mind, seeking insights that foster a deeper understanding of our complexities.

Beyond the projects showcased in this portfolio, I invite you to glimpse into the facets that shape my perspective.

My fascination with UX research and design springs from a fundamental belief—design envelops our existence. Despite starting with limited tools, human innovation has propelled us forward, profoundly enhancing our lives. This fascination led me to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Behaviour at McMaster University. Few can attest to this, but I loved every facet of my education, delving into the intricate workings of the human mind. This curiosity propelled me towards UX, where I endeavour to craft products and interfaces that harmonize seamlessly with people's needs and desires.

A GLIMPSE IN MY LIFE

My drive to embrace life began at a young age. Whether it was speech competitions, dance rehearsals, karate, or volleyball practice, I craved the richness of unique experiences.

At the age of 6, I crafted my lifelong bucket list—a collection of aspirations that surprisingly remained unchanged. Skydiving held the top spot, an adrenaline-charged dream that derived from my curiosity of clouds - particularly of wondering what it might feel like to jump into a cloud. Bungee jumping and the unexplainable desire to walk a Hawaiian volcano also made the cut.

Fortunately, I had the exhilarating chance to tick off skydiving (the first of many) and bungee jumping from my list. However, I don't label myself as an adrenaline junkie; rather, I want to perceive life from unconventional perspectives.

WHAT DID 2023 HAVE IN STORE FOR ME?

2023 - the first year without COVID-19 restrictions in Ontario.

This year marked many new friends in my life. While pursuing my graduate certificate in UX Design at Humber College, I formed several friends, some of which are very close to me to this day. They made studying, completing countless assignments, and nights in the library all worthwhile. I attended my first UX conference and networking session, FITC Toronto, with my friends and got a chance to see what life might end up like.

2023 also marked a year of travelling and some core memories with the people I love, my friends and family. My favourites being Montreal, Quebec City, New York, and Pittsburgh. Along the way, I was able to take some beautiful pictures of the landmarks and try new food (my favourite part)!

This website is a reflection of my work, and I invite you in to take a look at my processes, methodologies, and approach to navigating UX. I'm curious to understand people's needs and behaviours to create intuitive, enjoyable, and accessible digital experiences with my strong analytical skills and understanding of human behaviour.

Thank you for visiting my site and learning a little bit more about me. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my work, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
